Our Team
Living Spaces began with a simple belief: meaningful change happens when people decide to take responsibility for one another.
What started as a small, personal response has grown into a decade of ongoing work—built on consistency, trust, and a commitment to do what is right, even when no one is watching.

Meet our Founders.
Joel Wilson
Co-Founder
Joel brings steady leadership and a practical, solutions-focused approach to every project.
With a background in community support and a deep commitment to responsible stewardship, he guides the operational and financial direction of Living Spaces, ensuring the organization remains lean, accountable, and aligned with its purpose.
For more than ten years, Joel has worked closely with local partners on the ground, building relationships marked by respect, reliability, and long-term presence rather than short-term intervention.
His focus remains simple: create stability, honour dignity, and invest in change that lasts.
Amy Wilson
Co-Founder
Amy’s strength lies in vision and connection.
She helps shape the heart behind Living Spaces—supporting communication, partnership, and the development of projects that are responsive to real needs rather than assumed ones.
Known for her empathy and grounded perspective, Amy has been involved in the work since its earliest days, walking alongside families and leaders with consistency and care.
Her role ensures that Living Spaces remains relational at its core, rooted in listening first and acting thoughtfully.
A note from our founders
Living Spaces began without a plan to start a charity.
It started with a need we could not ignore, and the simple conviction that if we were able to help, then we were responsible to.
What we thought would be a one-time response became a commitment that has continued for more than ten years. Along the way, we learned that meaningful change rarely happens all at once—it happens through steady presence, listening before acting, and showing up again the next day.
We have remained small on purpose. Operating with virtually no overhead allows resources to go directly where they are needed most, and keeps the work grounded in relationships rather than administration. The families and leaders we walk alongside are not projects—they are partners, neighbours, and friends whose wisdom guides the direction of every decision.
Our hope is simple: that stability would replace uncertainty, and that dignity would be protected in every home we help provide.
We are grateful for every person who chooses to stand with us—whether through giving, encouragement, or simply caring enough to learn about the work.
Thank you for believing that quiet efforts still matter, and that small acts, done consistently, can change the course of a life.
With gratitude,
Joel & Amy Wilson
