See what we’re up to!

At Living Spaces, we currently  house 15-20 children on our site, where they live in three dedicated houses equipped with beds, mosquito nets, and all the essentials needed for a comfortable life.

Our facilities include a communal eating area and a designated space for homework, ensuring that each child has access to nutritious meals and a supportive learning environment. While the children are fed all their meals outside of what they receive at the local school, staying on our site allows them to easily attend the local school run by our friends at HIPPO Africa, which is just a short distance away.

The children in our program are identified through our local administrator and can join at any stage from Primary 1 (P1) to Primary 7 (P7), which is equivalent to Grade 8 in Canada. We also support higher achievers by sponsoring them into high school, helping them pursue their educational goals. We are proud to have one of our children currently close to graduating from university with a degree in nursing.

We have a dedicated team of three staff members who provide care, security, and support for the children, ensuring their well-being and safety. Additionally, we have two friendly dogs that serve as both security and beloved pets, adding to the warmth of our community.

For the past 10 years, we have been leasing this land, with four years remaining on our lease. Our close proximity to the school allows us to foster a seamless connection between home and education, enabling our children to focus on their studies and personal growth without the worries of food, shelter, or safety.

Together, we are dedicated to empowering these children, helping them build a brighter future and instilling hope, one smile at a time.

Make an Impact Today

Over the past three years, we have been delivering these wheelchairs to villages, making a significant impact on the lives of many who have never experienced the freedom of mobility without crawling or being carried. For just $550, we can manufacture and deliver a wheelchair, giving someone the gift of independence.

In many villages, traditional wheelchairs simply aren’t suitable for the terrain. That’s why we focus on providing specially designed three-wheeled wheelchairs that allow users to navigate their environment using their arms. These wheelchairs are not only more functional but also empower individuals to move independently for the first time in their lives.

It's truly inspiring to witness the joy and excitement on a person’s face as they first learn to use their new wheelchair. We are also looking to start a maintenance division to ensure these wheelchairs remain in good condition, providing ongoing support to the users.

If you would like to contribute specifically to our wheelchair division, please indicate this on your donation. Together, we can continue to enhance mobility and improve lives in our communities.
